Miami Dolphins 2014 Schedule Released

All eyes were on the Miami Dolphins last season after they solidified themselves as big time players in free agency and the draft. Unfortunately, things did not work out as the team missed the playoffs. Coming off what was a very disappointing 2013 season both on and off the field, the Miami Dolphins will be looking to come back strong next season. With changes made in the front office early this offseason, the team is expecting a nice bounce back season.

Earlier in the year, the NFL released the opponents for the Miami Dolphins for the up and coming season. Of course, they did not have the schedule in place, just the opponents. The Dolphins will certainly have their work cut out for them this year. As always, they will play the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots twice. However, the out of division schedule for Miami is definitely not an easy one. The team will be traveling out to Denver, Chicago, and Detroit; while hosting the Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.

Here is a look at the team’s complete 2013-2014’ schedule:

Better as in flight time.. But still have very TOUGH OPPONENTS:::::
DENVER, GREEN BAY, DETROIT, CHICAGO, KANSIS CITY, SAN DIEGO and NEW ENGLAND X 2!!!!! Tough..
(And Baltimore always plays us hard and divisional games other then NE)
For any chance of a winning record WE MUST SWEEP BOTH THE NY JETS AND BUFFALO.. (and hopefully atleast split with NE).. (Must wins against Minn. Oak. And Jax.. and obviously Jets and Buffalo). Atleast one of our away games is over the pond.. so no black-hole..

And I can’t remember the last time our season opener was against NE..
    AND I’LL BE THERE!!!
That would be a HUGE WIN and start off the season rolling baby!!!

    ????????????? 9-7 ???????????
(and that’s winning the must win games and pulling acouple of upsets)

And BTW… Once again we have to play up north vs NE and Jets in December..
ROGER GOODELL HATES THE DOLPHINS AND LOVES NEW ENGLAND!!!!!!

Oh BTW.. To back my last statement::

*** SINCE 2000, MIAMI HAS PLAYED IN NEW ENGLAND 10 TIMES IN DECEMBER!!!

    –wtf

My first take on schedule…. I don’t like it. I love that we play Patriots and the Bills off the rip. However, the rest of the schedule is not good. Here is why. The Fins obvious weakness and the area in need of most improvement is the offensive line. Since the OL is in need of a complete overhaul and the Fins have started that process w/ most notably the addition of Albert and I’m pretty sure the idea was to further that OL process in the draft. The Fins are forced to use most if not all of their resources on the OL. This does not afford the opportunity to upgrade the defense that much if at all.

By the looks of the schedule – I see pass happy teams. I see Peyton Manning, discount double check, Calvin Johnson, Jay Cutler and Phillip Rivers. I think this schedule begs the Fins to make a serious move or 2 in the secondary. I love Grimes but I have to be honest and realistic that it’s going to be a mismatch vs megatron. Even IF Grimes can keep Megatron at bay the rest of the secondary has got to be steller.

In other words, the Fins need to get their defense in the realm of Seattle’s defense in a hurry. If the Fins don’t do something in the secondary, Manning will turn them inside out. Sorry to say that when my main off-season worry (pretty sure Fins managements also) has been the OL. I think the schedule is going to shift the thinking a lot and I don’t like changing the focus of fixing the worst OL in the league.
