New England Patriots Bring in Dustin Keller for Visit

The New England Patriots have brought in former Miami Dolphins TE Dustin Keller in for a visit, per Adam Schefter. Keller signed on with the Dolphins last season to a 1-year deal and was injured in a pre-season game against the Houston Texans. The injury was initially feared to be career threatening, suffering 3 torn ligaments in his knee (ACL, PCL, and MCL). He did not suffer any nerve damage though or any cartilage damage though and he is attempting to make a comeback.

The Patriots would be a good landing spot for the tight end. He was a productive tight end while with the New York Jets during his first 4 seasons in the league and could help the Patriots offense if he were to play to that level again. That injury will be the biggest concern.

Tom Brady loves to get use out of his tight ends. If Keller were to get picked up by the Patriots, they would move him around the field and get him involved in that passing game. Will he be able to hold up during the year?
