Mike Mayock believes that the Cleveland Browns could be interested in making Jimmy Garoppolo the face of the franchise. Garoppolo is not expected to be selected until later in the draft, but the Browns could snake him up at the end of the first round with their 26th selection in the draft.

The team likely will use their first choice in the first round on a position other than quarterback. They have other holes on the roster that they can fill and don’t need to use that first selection to reach for that position.

With the 4th overall selection, the team could add more defense onto the roster or they could go with one of those top wide receivers. Sammy Watkins could be a nice weapon to add onto the offense.

Garoppolo could be the quarterback that the team is eyeing with the 26th selection. That could be the game plan that they are hoping to make happen next week. We will see if any other team tries to sneak into the first round to ruin their plans.
