    Derek Carr, QB Fresno State

Selection made by Peter Smith, Editor of Dawg Pound Daily

Here is the analysis on the selection:

The Browns appear to be hoping Khalil Mack lasts until their pick and failing that, they would ideally like to move down before selecting the quarterback they want, who I believe to be Derek Carr.

Carr has all of the arm strength and accuracy to be a franchise quarterback as well as the experience and the hard working mindset to succeed. Not only does he fit Kyle Shannahan extremely, but is also built for the AFC North climate.

How far Carr can go as a quarterback will depend entirely on his ability to improve and demonstrate consistent footwork.
