2014 NFL Draft: Tampa Bay Bucs select Mike Evans

Its back to back Texas A&M players off the board here in the 2014 Draft. With the 7th pick the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select wide receiver Mike Evans. Evans is a smart pick for the Bucs seeing how Vincent Jackson is one of their only consistent wide receivers. Mike Evans has the size and hands to compliment Jackson well.

Also, Tampa Bay quarterback Mike Glennon will have another weapon to throw to here as he is going into an all important sophomore season. Evans will need to step up big on this Tampa Bay offense as he will be one of the feature weapons for new head coach Lovie Smith to work with. The Bucs had a busy offseason, but a lot of it had to deal with the defensive side of the ball, now they will look to improve the offense with young talent in the draft. It is a good start for them here by selecting Mike Evans here at seven.
