Minnesota Vikings Tried To Trade to 22 to select Johnny Manziel

The Cleveland Browns were able to move up in the draft in order to select Johnny Manziel and they were able to beat out the Minnesota Vikings from getting him. Albert Breer is reporting that the Vikings were attempting to move up in the draft in order to select the quarterback.

The Vikings still are looking to find their quarterback in the draft, but they should still have some options in the next round of the draft. Derek Carr and Teddy Bridgewater are both still available and could be an option for the Vikings when they make their selection in the next round.

If the Vikings really wanted to take Manziel, then they should have just made the move with their first choice in the draft instead of taking Anthony Barr. Now they will have to wait and select someone else with their selection in the next round. It could be either Teddy Bridgewater or Derek Carr with that selection. Who would the Vikings want to take?

Who cares? They made the right move by trading back into the 1st round and taking Teddy B. A much better pick than Manziel.
