The Atlanta Falcons were a team that had a ton of interest in moving to the top spot in the draft in order to select Jadeveon Clowney. It would have taken a boat load of draft picks in order to make that move though.

The Falcons are not a stranger to giving up a ton of draft picks to make that type of move. They made that type of move in order to take Julio Jones in the past, but that may have been the reason that they were hesitant in making the move this time around.

That move has hurt the team’s depth on the roster. The Falcons picked up a stud in Julio Jones, but the depth throughout the roster has been shot without those extra draft picks.

With the Texans demanding a ton of draft picks, the Falcons had to shy away from the move. They have their draft picks and will be able to build up some depth on their roster with those picks.
