The Detroit Lions moved up in the draft in order to select BYU LB Kyle Van Noy. Van Noy will help the Lions defense immediately with his versatility at the linebacker position. He is a good all around linebacker that can get after the quarterback or cover the tight end. He has great instincts and knows where the football is going to be .

The Lions needed help on the defensive side of the football and added one of the top linebackers in the draft. Van Noy will contribute immediately on the defensive side of the football and should push for a starting job.

He should be a nice playmaker for the team. He will locate the football and find ways to be around the football.
