The Minnesota Vikings moved up in the draft in order to select Teddy Bridgewater with the last spot in the first round of the draft. A big driving force for that decision is offensive coordinator Norv Turner. Turner pounded the table in order to make that selection and the Vikings decided to make the move.
Turner is the quarterback guru and he has a strong feeling in Bridgewater. This will put Turner’s reputation on the line. He has worked with some really good quarterbacks and is an offensive genius, but with an offense with Adrian Peterson, Greg Jennings, Cordarelle Patterson and a quarterback that he was pounding the table for, you would expect the team to produce.
Turner has the weapons. He has the quarterback and he has the power to run the offense the way he likes. He just needs to get the team to produce. He has had some of his receivers spinning trying to learn the playbook, but he will have to get them all on the same page once the season opens up.
