The San Francisco 49ers seem like they are playing at a different level from everyone else in the draft. They are adding talent all over the board in the middle rounds of the draft. The talent they are adding are players that were expected to be taken in the first couple of rounds.
This time around the 49ers took Wisconsin LB Chris Borland with a 3rd round selection.
Borland will attack the line of scrimmage and has great instincts in the middle of the defense. He is disciplined in the middle of the defense and should be a nice playmaker on the defensive side of the ball in a couple of seasons.
He will get the chance to play behind Patrick Willis and Navorro Bowman in San Francisco, but could see opportunities with Bowman returning from that ugly injury.
