San Francisco 49ers Trade Up To Select RB Carlos Hyde

The San Francisco 49ers moved up in the draft in order to select RB Carlos Hyde. Hyde was one of the top running backs in this draft and the 49ers now have added him to their offense. A power back was needed on the roster and he will fulfill that role with the team.

The 49ers also added former Buffalo Bills WR Stevie Johnson onto their roster earlier in the day. The team has made some nice additions to their offense today.

There still are questions with Marcus Lattimore returning from his injury and the team still needed a big back to take the football and stuff it down the throats of defenses.

The running game has not been as important to teams of late, but that just helped the 49ers land one of the better ones in the draft. That offense will be looking to punish people with Frank Gore, Carlos Hyde, Anquan Boldin and company. If you can’t pass on Seattle, try to run it down their throats.
