2014 NFL Draft: Patriots Select Center Bryan Stork in 4th Round

With the No. 105 pick the New England Patriots selected center Bryan Stork out of Florida State.

The Patriots inject some much-needed youth to the interior offensive line with Stork. At nearly 6’4″ and 315 pounds Stork brings a bigger body type to the line when compared to current G/Cs Ryan Wendell (6’2″, 300) and Dan Connolly (6’4″, 300).

The best way to slow down Tom Brady is to move him off his spot with pressure up the middle–something we saw a bit too often in 2013. Whether at center or guard, Stork should help in that department.

Stork has quick feet, refined technique, ideal size and toughness. He has a good all-around skill set, but doesn’t standout at one particular skill. He looks like a solid pick who should compete for the starting gig at center.

Oh, and he rocks a grizzly beard–he should fit in just fine.
