Joe Haden has agreed to a 5-year contract extension to stay with the Cleveland Browns. He will be part of the team till 2019 and the deal is worth $68 millioon. The deal includes $14 million in signing bonus and $45 million guaranteeed.

After Richard Sherman signed his deal with the Seattle Seahawks, it opened up the door for the Browns to sign their deal with their top corner.

Haden is now the highest paid player on the roster, but he definitely is not getting the most attention on the team. With the arrival of Johnny Manziel on the roster, the Browns are going to get a little more attention from the media.

"Coach Mike Pettine said, “It’s important for us to extend our core players and continue to grow with guys that represent everything we want this team to be: Tough, hard-working and passionate. Joe obviously loves his teammates, and he loves this city. I know he wants to keep growing and improving as a player. That’s what we need, and that’s what we want. These are the types of players we want to build around, that will help us grow and win consistently.”"
