This is part of the offseason training that is all “voluntary”, but fans will freak out when any player of name is not in attendance. The Kansas City Chiefs have started their program without a couple of players. Brandon Flowers is not in attendance for the start of voluntary OTAs and Justin Houston is not available at this time either.

Brandon Flowers future with the team is in question already. There had been a lot of talk about trades during the offseason and he may bye just sitting back and waiting to see his future on the roster. The team drafted Phillip Gaines in the offseason to add into the secondary as well and put Flowers situation more in limbo.

Justin Houston could be missing time right now in order to get a long-term contract figured out with the team. He will be entering the last year on his contract and he could be looking to get that thing all situated before the season starts.

The team will have to carry on without them available.
