Former NFL player Chad Johnson still wants to play some football. He still wants to get on the field to compete in the game that he loves, he just doesn’t have the skills to play at the NFL level any longer. After his last stint in training camps and getting cut from the team, he is no longer an NFL player, but he is going to take a shot at playing in the CFL.

He just got a work permit to play in Canada and will be joining the Montreal Alouettes. Nice move by the Alouettes to sign the former NFL Star. If the signing works out, they get a good player, but if he falls on his face, the team still gets the publicity of bringing him onto the roster and giving him a chance. The team’s name is in the news right now and NFL fans are seeing it.

Not many people are going to line up in order to see an Alouettes game, but I wouldn’t mind seeing some highlights from Johnson and see how he performs against the talent in Canada. Some of those players out in Canada are working to get noticed by the NFL and are not far off from making it into the league. It won’t be a cake walk for Johnson to make the roster
