Seattle Seahawks WR Sidney Rice impressing in OTAs

Sidney Rice has struggled to stay on the field because of injuries, but he is working through OTAs and he has impressed the coaching staff with the Seattle Seahawks according to the Seattle Times. He has an opportunity to get some playing time this season with Golden Tate dipping out to the Detroit Lions.

Percy Harvin and Doug Baldwin will be the primary receivers on the roster, but Rice has a chance to take some playing time if he can remain healthy. Rice has the potential to be a solid performer. He was a top performer in the past and still is only 27 years old. He should be able to bring back that past success.

He has a solid roster around him and the team would not need to rely on him to be the top receiver. The Seahawks will rely on the running game first. When the Seahawks do put the ball in the air, Rice could be down the field with Harvin and Baldwin making plays.
