Carl Nicks unable to participate in Tampa Bay Buccaneers minicamp

Carl Nicks is in attendance for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers mandatory minicamp, but he will not be able to participate in the practice per Rich Stroud. He still is recovering from a toe injury that had an infection and some nerve damage. It is going to keep him sidelined for some time.

He is hoping to be ready for training camp, but there isn’t much optimism in that. He was signed to a 5-year deal in 2012 and hasn’t been able to produce much on the field since signing that big deal. It has been money spent that has been sitting on the sideline with an injury.

Nicks was one of the best offensive linemen in the game when he was healthy and was able to participate in the games. He can’t do anything while he is sitting on the sidelines though.

A person’s best ability is their availability, Nicks has not had that ability at all for the Bucs.
