Houston Texans OT David Quessenberry diagnosed with lymphoma

Houston Texans OT David Quessenberry is battling lymphoma, per Ian Rapoport.

I am no doctor, so here is a description of lymphoma from emedicinehealth.com:

Lymphoma is a type of cancer involving cells of the immune system, called lymphocytes. Just as cancer represents many different diseases, lymphoma represents many different cancers of lymphocytes – about 35 different subtypes, in fact.

Quessenberry was placed on the NFL’s Non-Football Illness list. His health is the number one priority and prayers are with him during this battle.

Quessenberry was drafted by the Houston Texans last season the 6th round out of San Jose State. He was First Team All-WAC in 2012. He didn’t get to see any action on the field last season after he injured his foot in practice and had to miss out on the season because of the injury.
