Kansas City Chiefs CB Sean Smith has been cited for driving drunk and carelessly ,according to KCTV 5 News. Here are some of the details from the report:

During the late hours on Monday, Kansas City police say they were patrolling an area at around 12:30 in the morning when they saw a driver try to turn left and lose control of their ride. The car hit a light post at the intersection.

Smith was the driver of the car and he appeared confused and mumbled statements to the authorities when he was asked questions. He was arrested by the police and was cited for 3 different violations.

Smith started 15 games for the Chiefs last season and was looked upon to be the team’s starting corner this season. Before his time with the Chiefs last season, he had spent 4 seasons with the Miami Dolphins.

Smith likely will face some disciplinary action from the league depending on the citation. I don’t see how Smith will be able to get out of this DUI though. He crashed his car into a light pole and was mumbling up some random words after the cops asked him some questions. Sounds like he was pretty drunk.
