Mike Pouncey out for 3 months after hip surgery

Miami Dolphins starting center Mike Pouncey underwent hip surgery today and will be out at least 3 months, per Adam Schefter. It is going to take some time in order to rehab his hip. The team will have 5 new opening-day starters when they open up the season. So everyone is new.

The offensive line is one of the areas in which teams should have consistency. Opening up the season with 5 new starters up front could mean trouble for Ryan Tannehill and Lamar Miller. Those big boys up front will have to gel quickly.

The Dolphins already are dealing with a few injury issues and training camp has not even opened up yet. Knowshon Moreno is having knee issues. Mike Pouncey had surgery on his hip and will be out for a while. What else will the team have to deal with?

Maybe pouncey can use this time to become less stupid, as well as heal from surgery.

That’s just what we needed!!! 3 months?? End of September.. Probably won’t play until week 6 after the bye.. (So, won’t play until Oct. 12th vs Green Bay)..Why play 1 game before the bye… They’ll be cautious… That’s what they’ll probably do, so he’ll be OUT for the first 4 games… Now?? 5 new starters on the OLine… Wow.. It’s going to be a long season…
