The Arizona Cardinals bulked up their offensive line last offseason after drafting Jonathan Cooper, but they have yet to see him on the field during the regular season after he broke his leg in a preseason game. Cooper is still recovering from that broken leg and is not ready for game action yet.
Here are his thoughts via ESPN.com
“I think I have progressed quite a bit but not quite game ready,” Cooper said. “I’ve come out here and I’ve done everything they’ve asked me to do rehab wise and lifting wise and on the field to the best of my ability. But my performance isn’t quite where it needs to be for Game 1.”
Cooper has some time to make those strides, but is it enough time? Will he be able to make an impact on offense? He will need to put in the work to get ready for training camp and the regular season.
