The deal would make Graham the highest paid tight end in the league. The deal is getting close.

Graham has until Tuesday to agree on a multi-year deal, otherwise he will be forced to play the 2014 season under the franchise tag mark that has been set for tight ends. Graham is appealing the ruling of the court and wants to be recognized as a receiver, but it all could be swept under the rug with a new deal coming through. The appeal was made in the event that Graham is unable to reach an agreement to a deal.

The deal is close. The business side of football gets ugly, but the team and players will love to have him back on the field tearing it up on offense. He is the best tight end in the league. He wants to get paid for the production that he can bring to the field and doesn’t want his salary to depend on the other tight ends in the league. He wants to be paid like the best tight end in the league.
