Earlier in the year, Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy said that the team would not retire former Packers legend Brett Favre’s jersey because of fear that the fans would boo the legend. All the shenanigans of Favre’s retirement and then his eventual signing with the rival Minnesota Vikings have some fans butt hurt. I would be butt hurt.

Murphy may be concerned, but Favre wasn’t concerned about getting booed in front of the fans. Here is what he had to say via For The Win:

"“I’ve heard [the booing] was a concern of mine, and I’m here to tell you I’m not. I’m not worried about that. I’m well aware that you can’t please everyone. Not everyone’s going to like you regardless, and you know what, so be it. But I think the 16 years that I had in Green Bay speaks for itself.”"

Would Favre still get booed if the team retired his jersey this season? Would you be one of the people booing? He did some great things while with the Packers. His number will be retired at some point. Just have to wait enough time for people to forget about the madness.
