San Francisco 49ers TE Vernon Davis was talked about as a possible training camp holdout. He is not happy with his current contract situation and would love to get a new deal that would get him paid. He would like to get paid like the top tight ends in the game since he has played at a high level the last few seasons.
Even though he still has a couple of tears left on his contract, there was talk that he was going to holdout for a new deal. Instead, he missed some mandatory minicamp meetings and paid some fines, but has made his return to the field.
Davis is focused on the job at hand and knows that he will be a big part for the 49ers push for a Super Bowl.
Davis’s teammate, CJ Spillman, was the person that broke the news on this one after sending out a photo of Davis in attendance.
