David Wilson is attempting to return to football after undergoing spinal fusion surgery during the offseason. He had been on the field for training camp for a bit but had a bit of a setback on Tuesday when he suffered a “burner”. He is expected to make a visit to the doctor on Monday, but the chances of him returning to the field sound slim.

One person with knowledge of the running back’s medical condition told NJ.com that Wilson “needs a miracle”, according to NJ.com.

Wilson made his attempt to return and the team and him will be anxiously waiting for Monday’s results. Miracles can happen and I hope that Wilson is able to get back on the field to play the game he loves. He had a ton of potential.

The Giants prepared this offseason for the possibility of Wilson sitting on the sideline. They knew that the chances of him making a return weren’t great and the the team brought in a few guys that could take some of the snaps during the year.
