Ravens DE Brent Urban out for season with torn ACL

The Baltimore Ravens have lost their 4th round selection DE Brent Urban for the season after he went down with a knee injury today. He was carted off into the locker room and has a torn ACL.

Urban was a promising defensive linemen for the Ravens defensive front and will have to redshirt his first season. He will be sitting on the IR all year and learning the playbook while recovering from the ACL injury.
The Ravens also had rookie 2nd round selection Timmy Jernigan limp off of the field today. His injury doesn’t seem to be as concerning as Urban’s though.
Sadly, Urban will not even get a chance to play in the preseason this year. He will have to work his butt off in rehab and hope to make an impression next season on the Ravens defensive front.
Preseason is right around the corner, but the injury bug is out. Sucks that the kid didn’t get a chance to get into games in his rookie season.
