Jacksonville Jaguars rookie WR Allen Robinson will be out for some time with a hamstring injury. The timetable for his return is still uncertain, but the expectations are that he will be out for at least a couple of weeks, per NFL.com.
This is a tough situation for a rookie wide receiver in training camp. It is tough to make an impact as a rookie wide receiver in this league and this time in training camp is huge for the youngsters to get the reps with their quarterback. While Robinson is on the sideline, he better be in that playbook getting ready for his chance on the field.
The Jags do not have a ton of options at wide receiver at the moment. With all the injuries at the position, quarterbacks Blake Bortles and Chad Henne have to work with the scraps that are able to get on the field. The Jaguars kick off their preseason action next week and they will be a few bodies short at the wide receiver position.
