The Indianapolis Colts and the New York Jets meet up on Thursday for a preseason matchup. We likely won’t see much of Andrew Luck on the field during the game. I wonder how much the team trots out Trent Richardson onto the field as well. Richardson needs to show up this year and this will be a good start to his 2014 season. He can show the fans some potential and give some hope for the running game.
The New York Jets have an interesting battle at the quarterback position. It seems that Geno Smith will start the season as the starter, but Michael Vick will be pushing to make it a tough decision. The fans should watch how that situation plays out. If Vick lights up the Colts second team, then the fans might be hoping to see more of Vick in the upcoming preseason games and into the regular season.
Football is back and we get to see our teams back in action. The starters will have to sit for most of the action, but it still will be nice to see the guys on the field. This game will be about filling the 53-man roster. Making predictions for preseason games is crazy, but I will do it anyway.
