Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson twisted his ankle in practice and will likely miss the game tonight against the New England Patriots. The injury is not serious, but there is no reason for the team to put him out on the field for the preseason action.
The Redskins held joint-practices with the Patriots this week and it allowed the team to see different faces across the line of scrimmage. The Redskins fans will have to put their anticipation on hold. They will not get to see Jackson and Robert Griffin III on the field tonight.
This is just the first preseason action of the year and there will be plenty of time to wet the appetite for the regular season. As long as Jackson is ready to go when the season kicks off in week 1, then all things will be good. Keep him healthy through the preseason and watch him tear it up in the regular season. It will be fun to see him running around in the Redskins offense.
