New York Jets RB Chris Ivory is dealing with another injury. He had injuries all of last season, but was still able to finish playing in 15 games with 855 yards on the ground. He finished last night’s game with some bruised ribs, according to New York Daily News’ Manish Mehta.

The injury should not be too concerning, but if Ivory does have to sit to get some rest on those ribs, it will open up the opportunity for Chris Johnson to get more reps on the field and get more playing time. Johnson wants to prove that he still has the ability to be a top back in this league, but is stuck in a time share with the Jets.

This could be his chance to prove that he should be the number 1 guy without a question. Ivory is a solid back and will fight to get back on the field. He battled through the injuries last season and still got onto the field. I would expect him to fight through these injuries and continue on.
