Kansas City Chiefs S Eric Berry slowed in practice by tendinitis

Kansas City Chiefs S Eric Berry started the day with his team on the practice field, but ended it on the sideline. Berry was nursing some tendinitis in his knee, but it shouldn’t be too much of a concern. Because of the tendinitis, Reid gave him the rest of the day off.

With Berry on the sideline for the rest of practice, the team used rookie Daniel Sorensen in at safety with the first team. The dropoff of talent at the position will be steep if Berry has to miss any time to nurse his tendinitis.

It is preseason though and Reid is doing the right thing by resting his star player. Berry just needs to be ready for the regular season. That is all Coach Reid is waiting for.
