The Arizona Cardinals are hurting for help on the defensive line. They wanted to bring in Brett Kiesel for a visit, but he didn’t show up and signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers instead. Now the Cardinals are looking to bring in Tommy Kelly for a visit per Kent Somers. Kelly was just released today by the New England Patriots.
Kelly was played in 5 games with the Patriots last season, but was sidelined for most of the year with a knee injury. The Cards will hope that he will work out on defense for the team.
After the loss of Darnell Dockett for the season, the Cardinals have been looking for someone to put in the middle of their defensive line. Kelly would be a nice addition to the roster and could help up front for the team. The team still has to see if Kelly is healthy.
They will get their chance to look at Kelly tomorrow.
