Drew Brees

The New Orleans Saints pride themselves on their amazing aerial attack with for sure Hall-of-Famer Drew Brees at the helm and a vast array of receivers at Brees’s disposal. Year, after year, after year, New Orleans has lead the league in passing because of the masterful feats of Brees and his talented receivers. Although Jimmy Graham won’t be able to dunk after scoring touchdowns next season, he still should have no problem in scoring them. Last season (excluding the game against the Seahawks), Graham was one of the league’s best receivers, and the guaranteed best TE. This season I should expect nothing different from the former basketball star. Marques Colston is coming back for another season and is bringing former rookie WR Kenny Stills along with him for the ride.

The only loss to this Saints offense was veteran WR Lance Moore who went to Pittsburgh in the off-season. However, with the loss of Moore comes the addition of new rookie WR out of Oregon State, Brandin Cooks. As a Beaver, Cooks was able to lead the nation in receiving yards and was ranked #2 in receptions last season (128 receptions for 1,730 yards and 16 touchdowns). His breakaway speed and sure hands make him a viable option for Brees in the deep passing game or even in short-yardage and over-the-middle passing situations where a screen or a quick slant could be involved. Where Brees is such a good fantasy QB is in his wide variety of wide receivers. Brees has been at least a top-five fantasy QB in the past five seasons. Look out for the Saints, it will be more of the same.
