Sunday Night Football is set to start out with some fireworks. A pair of the best teams in the AFC are set to battle it out in Denver with the Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos meeting up. The game will feature a couple of the best quarterbacks in the game. It will have the new vs the old. Peyton Manning vs Andrew Luck.
The Colts will be without Robert Mathis in the game and it will be a huge loss for the defense. He picked up a pair of sacks against the Broncos last season and also was in the backfield a ton putting hits on Peyton. Instead he will be on the sideline serving a suspension. The Colts will have to hope that Bjorn Werner will be able to pick up the slack.
The Colts offense has the potential to be beastly Reggie Wayne will be hack on the field with T.Y. Hilton and Hakeem Nicks. They could look to let it fly and try to outscore Peyton Manning or they could look to play the ball control game and wind down the clocks.
The Denver Broncos will be without Wes Welker in the first game of the year, but the offense still looks to be flying with Peyton Manning tossing the rock all over the field. He has so many weapons and will be looking to get the ball out to them quickly.
The Broncos defense will be looking to get after Andrew Luck with Von Miller and Demarcus Ware. We will see how they both do in putting pressure on Andrew Luck. This will be a preview of the Broncos defense this season. A lot depends on the pressure that they will be able to create.
Prediction
This is going to be a high flying game with both teams putting up a ton of points on the board. These kind of games have always gone to Peyton Manning in the past, but there is a new sheriff looking to take control of the league38. I expect the last team to have the ball in their hands to take the win. That team will be the Indianapolis Colts.
