It only took two weeks for the NFLSpinZone’s Power Rankings to be dramatically changed. After two weeks it’s pretty obvious that parody wise, this year will be great for the National Football League. This week featured upsets such as the Cleveland Browns overtaking the New Orleans Saints and the San Diego Chargers defeating the defending champion Seattle Seahawks.

One big story line to take away from the second week of football was the amount of injuries suffered. Jamaal Charles, Knowshon Moreno, Charles Tillman, DeSean Jackson and Robert Griffin are just a few big names that will be forced to miss action. Of course, you never want to see injuries; however, they are a part of the game.

Here are my Power Rankings for week 3. Feel free to leave your comments and opinions below. Also, make sure you check back every Tuesday morning as I will continue to post my Power Rankings throughout the season.

Number 1: Seattle Seahawks (1-1)

I know they lost but with Seattle and Denver it’s a 1A/1B situation. Right now, I still believe the Seahawks are the best team in the NFL.

Number 2: Denver Broncos (2-0)

As I just said, the Broncos and Seahawks and the two best teams in the National Football League. The two face each other this week in Seattle. Should be a good one.

Number 3: San Francisco 49ers (1-1)

The San Francisco 49ers were able to jump out to a quick start against the Bears, but a mixture of four turnovers by Colin Kaepernick, four sacks (including two on the final drive) and a total of sixteen penalties ended up costing them the game. They need to clean up the sloppy play.

Number 4: New England Patriots (1-1)

The Patriots took  advantage of an Adrian Petersonless Vikings, intercepting Matt Cassel four times. They also scored on a blocked punt. Looks like things are back to normal in New England.

Number 5: Cincinnati Bengals (2-0)

The Cincinnati Bengals have played very well to start the season. Although A.J. Green suffered a toe injury, the Bengals face an inconsistent Tennessee team, followed by an early bye week.

Number 6: Philadelphia Eagles (2-0)

Two straight weeks with poor first half performances; two straight weeks with comeback victories. Despite the wins, Philadelphia shouldn’t get used to playing comeback football.

Number 7: Indianapolis Colts (0-2)

Two close losses to two really good teams. Indianapolis will be just fine.

Number 8: Chicago Bears (1-1)

Four touchdown passes from Jay Cutler and two big interceptions from Kyle Fuller allowed for the Bears to dominate the second half against the Niners, ultimately winning them the game. Big bounce back win for the Chicago Bears.
