Denver Broncos Danny Trevathan making ‘really good progress’

Denver Broncos weak-side linebacker Danny Trevathan is one of the best players at the position due to his ability to get downhill and stop the run and excel in coverage. Well-rounded linebackers who can make plays have a premium price in this league, and Trevathan is certainly a valuable member to the Broncos stacked defense. Although he won’t be coming back for this week’s game against the Seattle Seahawks (he’s still a few weeks away from returning), Broncos official site beat writer Andrew Mason informs us that head coach John Fox stated that Trevathan is making “really good progress”.

Last season, he broke out in a huge way by notching 128 tackles with three picks, three forced fumbles, and an even more impressive ten passes defended. By filling up the stat sheet, Trevathan showed off his high-level production and coveted ability to make plays in all facets of the game.

    Trevathan is dealing with a fractured left tibia after suffering what could have been a severe knee injury during the preseason, and his initial timeline was set at six to eight weeks. He’s drawing closer to a return, and Fox’s noteworthy praise of the linebacker’s progress cast an optimistic forecast for his return date.
