Keenan Allen, DeSean Jackson Injury Updates: WRs active today

Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson has been doing whatever he can to play in today’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, and he will play his heart out in an effort to show up Eagles head coach Chip Kelly for cutting ties with him (for reasons that are still unknown). Despite being advised by those close to him not to play, Jackson has decided to risk aggravation by suiting up today, as he is active today.

Jackson was tentatively expected to suit up, though I expect the Redskins to make the responsible choice and limit his snaps in an effort to mitigate the chances of him aggravating this shoulder injury. But his shoulder evidently checked out during pre-game warm-ups, and the Eagles safeties surely have to be put on notice.

San Diego Chargers star wide receiver Keenan Allen did a nice job against Seattle Seahawks elite corner Richard Sherman last week, turning him around with some extremely good route-running. He’ll have an easier matchup this week against the Buffalo Bills, and Allen is indeed active after initially being listed questionable with a groin injury.

Despite the questionable listing, Allen was always expected to play, even if he was a mid-week downgrade on Thursday after being pushed down to a “limited” practice. Allen currently has ten receptions for 92 yards this year and has a shot at matching his season’s total today against the Bills.
