Jordan Cameron Injury: Cleveland Browns TE expected to play

facebooktwitterreddit

Cleveland Browns star tight end Jordan Cameron missed last week’s upset victory over the New Orleans Saints with a shoulder injury that he suffered in Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, as he aggravated the AC sprain that he suffered early in training camp. Cameron was listed questionable on the injury report this week after getting in some limited practices on Thursday and Friday, but he was still seen as an absolutely full-blown, 50-50 toss-up to play in this week’s rivalry game with the Baltimore Ravens.

  • Well, Browns fans should be pretty ecstatic right now, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter is the bearer of good news, reporting that the Browns star tight end is expected to play in today’s game against the Ravens.

Cameron caught just two passes but for 47 yards in Week 1, and he looks ready to try and explode this week against a talented group of Ravens linebackers. Rookie C.J. Mosley is known for his coverage ability, but he hasn’t shown it consistently yet, whereas veteran Daryl Smith consistently excels in this regard. Still, Jordan Cameron is too talented to be held down by the Ravens, especially when flexed out wide. He and Andrew Hawkins are the stars of the passing game, so it’s great to hear that one of the game’s most exciting tight ends is healthy. We’ll have to see just how healthy he is, though, in his first game back, though he isn’t a “lock” to play either and should still end up being a game-time decision. That said, it looks like he’ll be out there; Schefter is money.
