Brandon Marshall Injury: Chicago Bears WR expected to play

Chicago Bears star wide receiver Brandon Marshall was listed questionable in the injury report in the past two weeks, but he managed to play in both games. Marshall caught three touchdown passes in a Week 2 win over the San Francisco 49ers despite never practicing that week, and he never practiced at all this week either. However, he also aggravated his ankle injury against the New York Jets last week on Monday Night Football, which put his status in doubt.

  • The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Brandon Marshall is expected to play through the pain today against the rival Green Bay Packers, and he was tentatively expected to play despite the lack of practice. Marshall is one of those well-established veterans who can play without practicing, and it looks like that will be the case today.

Marshall is officially listed as questionable on the Bears injury report, and there shouldn’t be huge worries about his status today. It pays to check the inactive list before the game, especially if you own him in fantasy football, but he should be out there. Marshall currently has 14 receptions for 125 yards and four touchdowns this season, beasting on defensive backs in the end zone with regularity.
