Arian Foster, Andre Johnson Injury Updates: Texans stars active

Houston Texans star running back Arian Foster is recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him from playing in the team’s Week 3 loss to the New York Giants, and it also prevented him from doing much damage on the ground last week. Foster is the focal point of the Texans offense, and the workhorse back excels at racking up yardage on the ground and through the air as one of the NFL’s elite RBs.

Both Foster and star wide receiver Andre Johnson were fully expected to play today against the Dallas Cowboys despite hamstring and ankle ailments, respectively, and the Texans have officially placed both players on the active list for today’s game. Both have favorable matchups against a poor Cowboys defense, though the ‘Boys are having a much better year on defense than expected.

Johnson was listed questionable on the injury report with an ankle injury, but it was never seen as a major issue. He looked great during pre-game warm-ups and should be considered a full-go against a secondary that he should have no problem beating. Meanwhile, Foster is finally looking good after that nagging hamstring injury, and that’s critical given the high risk of aggravation with hamstring injuries, especially to “skill position” players.
