Odell Beckham Jr. Injury Update: NY Giants WR is active

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has always been expected to make his much-anticipated regular season debut today against the Atlanta Falcons, though the Giants were playing it very cautious with their prime rookie investment. Beckham was able to get plenty of practice in this past week, and the Giants will exercise further due caution by limiting his snaps today against the Falcons.

That said, Giants beat writer Michael Eisen reports that Beckham Jr. is indeed active today, and this confirms just about every report we’ve heard this morning. The news can now be considered official, and it will be interesting to see if Beckham can turn some limited snaps into huge plays against a rather porous Falcons defense that has the added benefit of lacking any sort of a pass rush.

The Giants offense is clicking at the right time following huge displays against the Houston Texans and Washington Redskins, and their tour de force against garbage defenses should continue this afternoon. With a long week of rest and Beckham Jr. in the fold, the Giants offense is definitely worth watching today if you are somebody who enjoys watching points being put on the board. If the Falcons can put up numbers on the Giants secondary, then we could have an exciting shootout on our hands.
