Khiry Robinson, Pierre Thomas not practicing

The New Orleans Saints woke up from their lengthy slumber on Sunday Night Football, taking full advantage of Aaron Rodgers’s hamstring injury in a 44-23 victory, while also getting back on track as an offense. Drew Brees used all of his pass-catchers to great effect, posting an efficient day, and it looks like the Saints are a scary team again. The Green Bay Packers defense has been solid this season, but they looked like last year’s version in the face of some great quarterbacking from Brees, who received plenty of support from rising star Mark Ingram on the ground.

  • It looks like we’ll continue to see more of Ingram going forward, as the New Orleans Times-Picayune’s Katherine Terrell reports that fellow RBs Pierre Thomas and Khiry Robinson missed practice today after also being listed as a “DNP” yesterday. Although the Saints didn’t practice yesterday, they are required to fill out a practice report, and the back-to-back “did not practice” listings for Robinson and Thomas aren’t good signs for their statuses.

Both players are talented RBs who bring something to the table for the Saints offense, but the smart money has them both missing this week’s TNF rivalry game against the Carolina Panthers. Ingram roasted a better Panthers run D last season, and he looks poised to have another big fantasy day. Keep an eye out for any changes regarding Robinson’s status and Thomas’s status, but both players missed the Packers game and seem very likely to be held out again.
