The Washington Redskins will start Robert Griffin III on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, per multiple sources.

Robert Griffin III will be back on the field starting on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. After the Washington Redskins were able to pull off the upset against the Dallas Cowboys, Griffin will make his return onto the field and look to continue the team’s momentum against a struggling team.

More from NFL

Griffin had been hobbling around with a bad ankle for a few weeks, but is ready to get back onto the field this week. The team will give him the ball and we will be watching his ability to move around in the pocket. He will have to show that the ankle is good and he will have to show that he still has the ability to make plays with his feet. The Vikings know that he may not be as agile in his return, so they could test him.

RGIII has not played since week 2 of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He only had 3 pass attempts in that game before he had to depart with the ankle injury.

There still is time for the Redskins to make a run at the division. They did get that big win against the Dallas Cowboys last weekend. Now Griffin is back to bring more life to the team.

The Redskins have won 2 straight games and are looking to make it 3 in a row against the Vikings.
