New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan opened up his conference by naming Madison Bumgarner his starter.

Rex Ryan just opened up his press conference today and named Madison Bumgarner his starter for the next game. The head coach sure knows how to get some good jokes in despite the mess that he has for a team this season.

If you don’t know who Madison Bumgarner is, then just turn on SportsCenter for a little bit and I am sure that they are talking about him all day. He just won the World Series with the San Francisco Giants and was the MVP of the series.

He might as well get a chance to play quarterback for the Jets at this point. Neither Michael Vick or Geno Smith have not been able to do much for the team on offense. Who can Rex Ryan trust now to play the position for him?

Rex used Mike Vick as the starter last week and still got the same result as he had been getting all season. What should he do this week?

Geno Smith? Mike Vick? He might as well just ride out the rest of the season with Geno Smith and see if he is the future. We already believe that he is not the future at the position, but might as well let him ride it on out for the rest of the year to see if he can make something happen.
