Less than two months remain in the 2014 NFL season. We look at the which teams have been playing the best and worst football in recent weeks.

We are reaching mid November and the NFL is full of teams trending in one of two directions. Some teams have been heating up in recent weeks and other teams have been ice cold. As the playoffs near division contests are becoming more fierce and nearly every game has postseason implications for the league’s hottest teams. For most of the league’s coldest teams the playoffs are already no longer viable a hope for this season. Fans of many of these teams are already looking to next season, the draft — essentially looking at anything other than this season.

I decided to evaluate each NFL team’s current ‘hotness’ or ‘coldness’ based on their performance over the last five to six weeks (especially the last few). I obviously factored in winning streaks, strength of schedule, and impressive wins, as well as embarrassing losses. After looking around the NFL it was quite obvious which teams were the hottest. The New England Patriots, for example, are looking like contenders again. The Oakland Raiders take the cake as the league’s worst team, but are they currently the coldest? There are a lot of other teams that are streaking in one direction or the other, check ’em out!
