Ben Tate also claimed by Colts and Cardinals
By Ernie Padaon
Ben Tate was released by the Cleveland Browns and had to go through waivers before he would become a free agent. He was picked up by the Minnesota Vikings, but he also was claimed by a couple of other teams that have been looking for some love at the running back position. He was also claimed by the Arizona Caridnals and the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts just lost Ahmad Bradshaw for the season. He was put on the IR list again and the team was looking for someone to step up on the team. Might as well bring another former Cleveland Browns running back to bring some help to the team. They almost had him, but the Vikings sucked a little more so they got the rights to him. I am sure that Tate would have loved to get back in that division and also have a shot at the playoffs.
The Cardinals also were in the mix. They have been looking for a compliment to Andre Ellington and would have taken Tate to be that guy. Instead, they will have to continue with what they have. It has only taken them to a 9-1 record, so it can’t be that bad.
