Jordan Reed Injury: Redskins TE practices again

Washington Redskins second-year tight end Jordan Reed missed seven games as a rookie, largely due to a severe concussion at the end of the year. While all concussions are obviously serious business, Reed’s was especially bad. The injury woes have continued this season for the talented Florida product, and it’s a shame that he keeps missing time, because Reed is an explosive, versatile pass-catcher worth his place on any team, including a Redskins offense that already has Pierre Garcon, DeSean Jackson, and breakout TE Niles Paul.

More from Washington Commanders

Reed has played in just six games this year and missed last week’s game against the San Francisco 49ers with a hamstring injury, but it looks like he’ll be able to hit the field this week when the Redskins face LaRon Landry and the Indianapolis Colts. According to the Redskins official Twitter account, Reed was able to practice on a limited basis today, and this is definitely great news.

Since Reed first returned to the practice field yesterday, he should be able to face the Colts, barring a setback. It isn’t quite right to call Reed a lock to play, but I think we’ll see him out there, with only a setback preventing him from playing. Reed has just one big game to his credit this season, and that was an eight-catch, 92-yard display against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6 after he recovered from his first injury.
