The position of quarterback in the NFL receives a ridiculous amount of attention and whether it may or may not be deserved is up for debate. What isn’t up for debate is that if a ’10 Best Players In The NFL’ list was made it would be predominantly made up of quarterbacks.
How could Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Andrew Luck and Drew Brees be left off the list? They couldn’t, so I decided to rank the 10 best NFL players in the league right now that do not play quarterback.
Excluding quarterbacks from this list led to a much more diverse and interesting ranking. It is filled with various positions and players that are sometimes overlooked because of how much attention quarterbacks receive in today’s game. Here is the breakdown by position for those trying to guess which current players made the cut: Three wide receivers, Three linebackers, two running backs, one tight end and one defensive end.
