A 2015 NFL Mock Draft Tag-team, back and forth, pick by pick through the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Lots of talent, only thirty two first round picks. Dan Salem and Todd Salem debate in today’s NFL TD Sports Debate. Two brothers from New York yell, scream and debate the NFL and sports.

2015 NFL Mock Draft Tag-team

Dan and Todd alternate picks through the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft. The projected draft order is based on the current league standings and not end-of-year projected finishes.

Marcus Mariota. 1. player. 48. . Quarterback. Oregon

Dan: The smart money is on Mariota getting taken first overall. It’s not an original prediction, but with neither Josh McCown nor Mike Glennon shining this season, Tampa Bay will look to sign an immediate difference maker on offense. Mariota has the maturity to lead and the speed and abilities to conquer an awful division next season.

Defensive End. USC. Leanard Williams. 2. player. 35.

Todd: It is too early for Tennessee to give up on quarterback Zach Mettenberger, which may become a bit of a trend early in the 2015 draft. Leonard Williams slides in as an immediate starter as a defensive end in a 3-4 defense like the Titans employ. It also doesn’t hurt that he’s the best defensive prospect regardless of position.

Wide Receiver. Alabama. Amari Cooper. 3. player. 28.

Dan: Derek Carr performed better than the average rookie, but until he gets some more playmakers on offense, his team will be struggling to win games. Cooper gives Oakland and instant upgrade and an all-around everything threat to score. Carr should be throwing his coaches a party after the selection of Cooper.

Brandon Scherff. 4. player. 52. . Offensive Tackle. Iowa

Todd: Can Jacksonville really move on from Blake Bortles one year after selecting him in the top three? Instead, it makes sense to build a better unit around him. The best offensive lineman in the draft is Iowa’s Brandon Scherff. He can come in and play opposite Luke Joeckel for years to come.
