What better way to celebrate the Holidays than with a mock draft? After all there’s just 123 days left until Draft Day in Chicago. With a full slate of games still to take place in week 17, the draft order is still fluid, and underclassman have until January 15th to decide if they want to declare for the draft or go back to school, so there’s a lot of variables still in play. That said I tried to capture the ‘anything can happen,’ spirit of the draft to keep thing interesting. You’ll notice I’m big on receivers and lineman, and lower than most on the QBs, it’s just personal preference and a reflection of what I would do if I was making the decision for each team, seeing as I don’t have any current coaches or GMs on my speed dial. That said I welcome your feedback, just leave a comment at the bottom of the page. For more great 2015 NFL Mock Drafts, check out the mock databases at Walter Football and DC Pro Sports Report.

35. I’d like to see what Zach Mettenberger can do with a healthy O-Line and improved run game before investing a top pick in a QB. Besides, the Titans real trouble spot is on defense where they failed to get consist pressure on opposing QBs and with Andrew Luck in your division, that’s a problem. Enter USC standout Leonard Williams. Believed to be the top defensive prospect in 2015 draft (assuming he declares) Williams has the size (6’5 290 lbs) and athleticism to thrive as an impact defensive end in Ray Horton’s 3-4 defense.. DL. USC. Leonard Williams. 1. player

48. It won’t matter who the QB is if they can’t protect him. Anthony Collins failed to live up to the big contract he signed in the offseason, and has never started more than 7 games in a season, putting his long term prospects in doubt. Peat will likely need to add some weight to hold up against top NFL pass rushers, but he’s extremely talented and there will be holes at RT or guard if Collins manages to regain his 2013 form.. OT. Stanford. Andrus Peat. 2. player

player. 52. Protecting Blake Bortles has to be top priority for the Jaguars. Scherff is a vicious blocker who can make an immediate impact at RT or Guard. He’s a weight room warrior who excels in the run game (where Jacksonville desperately needs to improve), and holds his own in pass protection. I can see Scherff having the kind of impact on the Jaguars in 2015 that Browns guard Joel Bitonio had in 2014.. OL. Iowa. Brandon Scherff. 3

4. player. 30. There’s a more pressing need at corner, and Guard is a major trouble spot, but those can both be dealt with later if not through free agency. Pass rushers are bountiful in this draft and with the resources spent beefing up the offensive weapons in recent years, (Decker, Harvin, Amaro, Ivory) what the Jets really need is a reliable signal caller. Mariota may experience some growing pains, but he’ll likely have the help of a new coaching staff brought in to aide in his development.. QB. Oregon. Marcus Mariota
